Welcome to week five - and the last week - of the Fresh Spool Series! Time is just flying by, and the holidays will be here before we know it. It's been awesome watching all the blocks pop up on social media. Today I'm sharing my Heart Spool Block pattern with you.
Heart Spool Quilt Block : Fresh Spool Series at Fresh Lemons Quilts
The Heart Spool Block is similar to the Log Cabin Spool Block, in that you need to piece a portion of it (the inner heart) first, and then use that in your final paper piecing template. (If you are new to foundation paper piecing, you can find a tutorial on my blog.)

Midway through making my block, you can see the finished heart that is incorporated as "Piece 1" in the final paper piecing template.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with them yet. I could finish them up similar to my original Spool Mini Quilt...or come up with something new. I'll share once I figure out my plan!
