Fish Rack ~ Summer Sampler 2018

Welcome to Week 18 of the Summer Sampler Series 2018 : Summer Road Trip quilt along!  Our final block!  This week's design is really interesting to me.  It comes to us from Norway.  I know next to nothing about Norway, except I'm pretty sure I'd love to go there to see the Northern Lights.  Designer Daisy Aschehoug of Warm Folk designed this block after a Norwegian rack for drying fish.

Pantheon & Petra ~ Summer Sampler 2018

Hello friends!  Well, I was so in the zone at my sewing machine last week that I completely missed posting my Summer Sampler Series quilt along block.  So today I am sharing two blocks!  First up, and last week's block, is Pantheon.  Pantheon was designed by one of my quilt along cohosts, Lee Heinrich of Freshly Pieced.  Lee was inspired by the ceiling of the Pantheon in Rome, Italy.  Such amazing architectural details.

Pisa ~ Summer Sampler 2018

This week marks the 13th block of the Summer Sampler Series 2018 Quilt Along!  This week we are just traveling a few hours from our last destination of Milan, Italy...to Pisa! I designed this block and was inspired by the detailing on the Leaning Tower of Pisa.  I simplified the innermost section of the stonework and focused on the outer points and inner diamond shape.
